Certificate Administration

Simplified Compliance.  To ensure your compliance with the requirements of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA), Primary PhysicianCare provides complete HIPAA certificate administration. These services include identifying employees and dependents whose coverage has terminated and generating corresponding HIPAA Certificates of Creditable Coverage. In addition, we generate HIPAA certificates upon request.

For plans with preexisting condition limitations, we initiate contact each new plan participant, obtain the HIPAA Certificate of Creditable Coverage from his previous plan, and calculate the amount of creditable coverage each person should have. Finally, this information is passed onto the appropriate claims vendor.

Primary PhysicianCare ensures your compliance with the Notice requirements as part of our HIPAA administration.  We track the deadlines and handle all member notifications automatically, and provide with reporting of compliance.  Hipaa Notices are another example of our commitment to fully-integrated service. Hipaa Notices include:

• Certificate of Credible Coverage (upon termination)
